Works great, get multiple traps
I bought two last year for my mole problem and used them for weeks with no results. I ended up having to sit outside with a spade waiting for the ground to move like a complete weirdo. I’m sure my neighbors thought I had lost my mind. But this had become a true Caddyshack moment between me and this mole. It was personal. Totally destroyed my entire front lawn and my garden beds. Ended up getting it with my shovel. This year another mole showed up and in five days almost completely ruined all of my annuals and started in on my lawn again. I bought two more traps. I identified where they were coming out from underneath the porch and their main tunnels that fed the secondary tunnels. About two hours after setting all four traps, one had tripped and my cat was standing over it staring intently. I could hear the spring twitching. I dug it up with a shovel and there it was, clinging to life. These things are solid pieces of equipment, well designed. Don’t get cheap knock offs, you get what you pay for. It comes down to this; if you only have a couple traps, you better know where they are coming from otherwise they will just make more tunnels and go around them. I hate to sound like a salesman, but you need to have multiple traps to catch the moles in the act. They work too quickly for single or few traps. But if you compare this to the hundreds of dollars I spent on annuals this year, and the hundreds of dollars it took me to repair my lawn last year, these traps are the best money I’ve ever spent. Also, make sure to set them deep enough or the moles just sneak out under them. These traps work perfectly if you know what you’re doing but you have to find the tunnels they use.

Worthless
Piece of junk. I had it for about three weeks and it broke. You pull the handle up to said it and then it went off and I pulled it up out of the ground and tried to pull the handle back up and it wouldn’t go. it was jammed. Do not buy very disappointed. And the time that I had it never killed one mole

Plastic parts
If you have any rocks in your ground maybe consider going with Victor’s metal version. One spike snapped off on my first attempt of placing it in the ground. The foot pegs makes it easier to set and it’s effectiveness is yet to be seen…still waiting.

Easy to set on a straight mole run and it will get them!
Very easy to set…very much like the Victor traps of old but much easier to set..

Very easy to set!
These Victor plastic mole traps are much easier to set than the other other Victor all-metal mole traps. The spring on those traps is so tightly coiled that I couldn't lift it far enough to set the latch. The plastic ones are a breeze to set and work just as well as the all-metal ones. Highly recommended!

Not effective and easily breaks
This mole trap is lightweight and very easy to set. That is where the positives end. The first time I used the trap it activated by failed to kill the mole. The second time I used the trap one of the plastic legs broke off, however the trap still functioned. When the trap activated the second time it failed to get the mole. When I dug the tunnel out I discovered the spikes were not long enough to reach the tunnel depth. While it may work for some people, it was useless to me.

Worked exactly as advertised
Didn't want to use the poison bait worms because they pose a danger to my german shepherd and young boys so I had tried the sonic repellents and Mole-X which is supposed to target the mole but be non-toxic for dogs and children. No luck. After 3 weeks my yard was a mess so I ordered this device. Overnight I had a dead mole. Wish I'd bought it sooner.

Get a cat
How big are your moles? It looks like this trap is made for monster moles because the little miners in my garden don't set this trap off. The cats catch moles under 5 inches long. So far it hasn't fallen apart but the moles just go under it or around it or through it. It has only tripped one time so far with no dead mole. Score so far is cats >20, mole trap 0.
