Black Flame Pitching Machine

I got this for my nine year old last year. I bought two dozen baseballs to go with it as well. Using this machine to train him he has become one of the best hitters in the league, made the All Star team this year and was invited to play on our local travel team. We Once you figure out the adjustments and how to adjust trajectory based on the speed of the ball you can change velocities pretty quickly to accurately pitch. I clocked max speed with my pocket radar and got 54 mph. In my opinion this is better than an electric machine. No cords or generators needed or special balls. Gets the job done and is good quality.

Perfect pitching machine for my 8 yr old who is in Coach pitch. He was tired of me accidentally hitting him when I would pitch to so I purchased this during the Black Friday deals. It pitches relatively straight with adjustable speeds. My son no longer has to worry about getting hit by the ball. He can concentrate on his mechanics and hitting. He has improved so much from the beginning of the season. He went from the end of the batting order to the #3 hitter due to his consistency and line drive hits. The machine is easy to put together, very light to transport, and anchors well into the ground. Simple to adjust pitches when setting up. I recommend this for anyone needing an affordable dependable pitching machine. All you need is a big yard, park, or open field.

My wife and I are "senior" softballers, and we were looking for a way to practice our fielding skills, especially fly balls. While the item performs as advertised, it probably is best suited for little leaguers. Our main reason for wanting to get the machine was to practice fly balls. However, even set at its maximum adjustment, the ball travels only about 100 feet in distance, and we only get a rather low arc in height. Likewise, the max speed for infield grounders is quite slower than what we're used to in our league. Not a bad purchase, just wish it matched our ability level. Probably great for youngsters.

Awesome buy! Have noticed a definite improvement in the entire team’s hitting since we have been using this at every practice. Easy to assemble and use. Seems very durable so far with good design and construction! Definitely a great option if you don’t wish to spend the kind of money a Jugs machine commands.

Fully functional as described. It throws balls consistently. We use it to throw tennis balls; works amazingly well. Welds and metal structures are well built. Has good quality power coating. After researching their black and blue version, it seems that top speed is higher in black version.

simple and works well. Little rubber strips did not hold up well. But when new, it layed in pitches very consitstently expessially at medium speeds and it is pretty consiteent with decent balls. If you use cheap balls hight of pitches is still in the zone but not overly consistent. It would be very hard to hit a batter with this machine.

Great tool for young players!

The unit comes as 4-5 different assemblies. Two of the components were NOT put together properly, and were either backwards or upside down. I had to disassemble and put together correctly for the unit to be functional. The company, GameMasterAthletic.com did NOT answer their phone, nor did they return any of my phone calls. Disappointed in all of the above, but I did test the unit out for pitching and it performed well.
