I LOVE this motherboard
The one I ordered was doa but the replacement I bought elsewhere works flawlessly. I LOVE this motherboard. It's fast when paired with a great processor like an i7 and enough ram, in my case 16 GB. I used the parts to build a hackintosh. It's an amazing machine.

I had this motherboard for about a year and what everyone else described with the USB 3.0 ports is dead on. At first I had one go out at a time and didn't think too much of it, until suddenly a year later all of them stopped working on both the rear and front ports. Gigabyte has terrible customer service that refuses to acknowledge the problem or cross-ship a new board. I can't go without my desktop so I'll have to buy a new board from someone other than Gigabyte. This is the last Gigabyte purchase I'll ever make.

Two Stars
Decent board, but I've had a lot of issues with USB. I eventually installed a PCI USB 3 card

Do not buy this board it is flawed on the USB ports. You will waste your money and time.
Like many other reviewers have said, the usb ports will fail. And mine did less than a year later. All I did was move my computer to another part of my desk. Evidently power cycling causes the usb ports to be permanently damaged. Instead of going through the whole stressful and ridiculous and very long dreadful process of replacing this board, I used an extra internal pci usb card that I had. Luckily, the back ports are the only problem. Also if anyone still has this and your usb ports are no longer working, I recommend you do what I did and get something like this http://www.amazon.com/SYBA-Multimedia-6-port-Chipset-SD-NECU2-5E1I/dp/B002ZKPU1W

Stay away from the Z87x-UD5H - USB ports at rear don't work
I purchased this motherboard in January, and it has performed for the most part, flawlessly. The reason I'm giving this a terrible review is that the rear USB ports have never fully functioned. When I first built the PC, I plugged an external hard drive into one of the rear ports, but it didn't work. I moved it to another rear port and it worked fine. I didn't think about it again for 4 months, until all the rear USB ports failed. Now, I have a PC with 4 USB items I want plugged in, but only 2 available on the front of the chassis and 6 dead ones at the rear. After doing some more research, I have found that this is not an uncommon issue. From what I read online, Gigabyte's tech support has been terrible.I would advise against purchasing this motherboard.

Nice board and loved the option of 6 USB ports
Nice board and loved the option of 6 USB ports, but pointless if they stop working after less than a year!Last time I buy a Gigabyte board!

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL
Purchased this board and within two months of very light use, all of the USB ports no longer work. I have called Gigabyte and their customer service is absolutely terrible. They refuse to acknowledge that at least HUNDREDS of people have the exact same issue and continue to plead ignorance to the problem. I don't want to go through their terrible RMA process to get the same board with the same problems so now I am just out $200. Thanks Gigabyte for selling a terrible product and refusing to take responsibility for it.
