I needed to replace the current uplight on your 10 yr old home. I was very happy to find this on Amazon because I wanted to replace it with the exact light that was currently on the house. It is heavy duty powdercoated metal, not plastic. True to color description. I paid an electrician to wire it onto the house. He had to rewire the light to accomdate the extension arm that was already on the house. The supplied wires were not long enough to hook up to my supply. He did this in a few minutes and the installation was very easy.

Had to replace a 10 yr old light as the thread for the bulb broke off from the rust and I did not want to spend the time to repair it, so replaced this one. If the thread however is o.k and only the paint comes off, you may want to restore the old light. Sand it down to the aluminum casing, prime and spray paint it. Scrap the old silicone off the glass and re-seal. It will look like brand new. But all in all a very good product, we have approx. 20 of these landscape lights and they make your backyard look pristine.

I bought several of these along with the HV1A H system visor (a MUST for uplighting applications). I highly recommend both the fixture and the visor, they look terrific, provide a water-tight seal for the lamp and allow you to contour the flood of light emitting from the fixture. The visor has a rubber gasket and set screw and can be rotated and positioned to any location on the fixture.

Very nice lamps, excellent quality. Also purchased the sealing covers to go with these, glad I did. They look great and are easy to install and adjust.

I bought two single lights and a dual set when my home was being sided, and I like the look and functionality of these lights. I put big LED bulbs in them so I could leave them on all night because I am trying to discourage raccoons from my country home.

The seal inside the enclosure that supposed to protect the underlying electric connection, eventually fails, and these go bad I bought several of these over the last 15 years I have to replace them every three years

Since I had install one of these installed a couple of years ago. I ordered one to replace another builder installed fixture and did it myself and saved the $100 home maintenance service fee.
