Tiny Yarn Bowl 4x2 inches, Handcrafted for Knitting and Crochet, in Velvet Bag

I bought this as a gift for a Secret Santa event at work. I had to get this size to meet the dollar limit we all set, but was disappointed to see how small it was. When I went into my semi-local Michael's, I saw that they had yarn bowls that were the size I was hoping for, for half the price. I would have returned this, but it was too late, and the gift was already in the other person's possession. The velvet bag had to be wiped down when checked it out before wrapping everything up due to some kind of white film or mold.. I have no idea what it was, but it was gross.

The bowl should have been smooth on the inside since it was make for yarn. Yarn gets hooked on the tiny bumps and can ruin the project you are working on. The bowl is very pretty but a little more time on the inside would have made it perfect.

So, I loved the bowl for the price. My husband did have to take a file and get rid of the sharp edges in the spiral and in the holes. But for the price cant complain to much.Mine did not come with the velvet bag it says in the description

It is so nice to have a ball of yarn that does not fall off the couch and end up on the floor- then under the couch. The ball unravels as you need it. It keeps the yarn cleaner and easier to handle.

I bought this bowl when I started taking crochet lessons this summer. I do wish it held larger volume of yarn, but I can work around that. My teacher was very impressed with this bow. The wood is so smooth and the yarn never gets caught on the wood.

Smaller than I expected. Good for holding a 50 gr ball of sock yarn (or a bit bigger) but too small for a ball from a "standard" sized skein. Wish there was a larger one available. Other than the size, it is great. Beautiful, works well, and no sharp edges or splinters to catch yarn on.

Delivered on date it said it would be. But the cutouts in the bowl are not smooth. We had to do some sanding before use, or it would of ruined my yarn.

The yarn bowl is nice and worth the money. I do wish it held the yarn a little better, as it occasionally slips out. But overall I really like it.

I like that it is able to hold my cotton thread for crochet in correct tension. Also I dont have to worry about it getting mixed up. It is a perfect beauty.But when I use the polyester purse threads rolls, it sometimes gets stuck. I think a bigger bowl is needed for that.
