Definitely a RE-read
I am actually going to read this book again. I’m sure the more I read it, I’ll find more wisdom as I evolve my thinking and focus on empowering others this year.

Great Read
While I felt the book was a great read, it should definitely be updated to modern English. Other than that if your on the path of discovering who you are, this book is a great step in that direction.

4.5 Stars
I read the kindle version. I don't know if that is the "original" version. It's very thought provoking. I would recommend it to someone who is just getting started in "changing their mind" as it is a fairly short read and holds your attention. If you have been wondering about all this--whatever you call it: self-help, metaphysical, new-age, spirituality, being positive, "The secret", Dr. Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra stuff is--well this is not new stuff, it's a revival of what great thinkers thought and wrote about before. There were great thinkers in the "middle" of the 20-century like Earl Nightingale, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Dorthea Brande; but there were great thinkers before that in the 19th century like Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and James Allen. All of these writers are focused on self-fufillment and controlling your thoughts--at least in their mainstram self-help books. The books written by these people are not strictly philosophical or religous and that is what is so great about them, but you do have to be at least a little open-minded because how can you think about fulfillment without considering spirituality, philosophy, or religion? You don't have to be a devout muslim, christian, or jew to appreciate them, in fact it would probably strengthen your religion if one of your goals is to be more religious. I think you can benefit if you are atheist or aganostic as well because one of the themes of all these great authors and their books is that you can control your fate and that much of your happiness or lack of happiness or how you view yourself depends upon your perception of yourself and your abilities. This is nothing new in psychology or personal performance in hobbies, work, sports, etc. Everything else aside, and whether or not this is the best or worst review on amazon, the only way great books like this cannot help you is if you believe that every single event in your life had already been pre-planned and you have no possible way to change your own future, which is simply ridiculous because sometime today or tommorow, you will have an important choice or a very unimportant choice to make. And when you make a choice, you are in fact determining your future. How you choose to think is a choice, but learning to control your thoughts is very tough, but the most rewarding thing you can do for yourself.

THOUGHTFUL…
Borrowing liberally from Biblical truth, running it all through a philosophical gristmill rendering a rather watered down humanist solution… this is a reasonable introduction and does strike a number of worthy points for consideration if one has not considered the psychologically documented power of ones thoughts on… everything one experiences. It is, however, a very short read - 3-4 hours maximum if one seriously ponders key points along the way; 1-2 hours if just casually reading through.I found it annoying to so carelessly quote Scripture and other authors with no obvious effort to attribute these quotes to their source but I recognized their sources, so no harm, no foul.I do recommend this short book as an introduction to become aware of the impact your thoughts have on the character and quality of your life. Just, don’t stop here… research much deeper and farther.

Horrible!
This is nothing like the original writing. I have deep respect for the man James Allen, but this nothing like his writing. It seems like someone tried to rewrite his work swapping words to avoid copyrights and created senseless phrases. I gave one star because I couldn't leave it blank.I know it doesn't cost much, however this is a waste of time more than waste of money.

Great masterpiece
This book is an excellent masterpiece...The author has distilled his thoughts and transferred it into a little but powerful book...If you read just first 20 pages... You will never gonna be the same person...I highly recommend this book..

Short but sweet
A very short book but definitely one that I will be going back to from time to time. This book was introduced to me in the film Brian Banks about how to remember your principles as a person and how to be the best person you can be. It is a very powerful book about how thoughts become things, we are all a product of our thoughts and we will do well to remember that every day.

A must read that you’ll read more than once
I’ve read this a few times and will read it more often in the future. It’s a short, simple read that’s written poetically and has a lot of great things to say, which stick with you and make you think. I’d say it’s even been more helpful than some self-help books that I’ve read which are hundreds of pages long. This books is only around 40 pages.
