Already Ordered Another One
Already ordered a second one and cartridges for the room where my computer is. The one I have uses 2 sticky cartridges and I plug it in with the cord and keep it on the kitchen counter top but facing living room area where it is darker. I assembled it and left it on from 3:00P to 3:00P and the next day. I had 18 fruit flies stuck in the trap. The bugs are mostly attracted to lit screens in my home so desktop, TV, tablet and phone all attract them and annoy the heck out of me every summer.Edit: Received my second one quickly, will set it up tonight and checked the first trap before writing this. I now have 46 little flies in the trap. I don't have a big fly problem so I cannot say how it works for them.

Love this!
These are amazing! I have 2 and they work so well. The inserts hold a lot of bugs. It is super sticky and the light isn’t so bright that it’s blinding or distracting. I prefer these over the plug in ones. And the inserts aren’t super expensive. The only thing I don’t like is the chord is weird and it’s hard to make it sit down flat. But it works even if it isn’t flat so it’s not a super big deal.

Pictures speak a thousand words, but I chose to use a thousand words to say it works instead.
I bought 2 kits (the Max tabletop version) with 6 refills (really only 3 "complete" refills, since it takes 2 at time). Not really sure you want to see yet another photo of a bunch of dead gnats/fruit flies/minions of spawns of hades, but these definitely worked for my situation. In less than a week both of my "traps" have accumulated nearly 100 pesky minions each. I just swapped to clean new refills and am eager to see how many more of these loathsome beasts remain. GRANTED, I need to find the source and treat there first. This is a rather costly means of dealing with the problem, but if you are pretty desperate (like I was/am), then this is a good tool in the war against pesky flying little beasts in the home. Honestly I almost wish I would have gotten 4 or 5 of these things but who the heck can afford that?! I really feel like 2 is the minimum you should have to feel like you are winning your battle, and that is quite a painful price to pay in itself. You can absolute rig something yourself to do the same thing, for significantly less, but I do not currently have the free time to come up with a semi-aesthetically pleasing dupe that ends up saving me, sadly. I have one more set of refills to see if I can troubleshoot the source and hopefully wage the battle there, because I will honestly cry if I have to buy more refills as these prices. There is nothing in these that attract pests other than the light, and the sticky surface is very sticky and very satisfying to watch a pesky flying annoying little rot-seeker land with just one foot touching and he can't get away. That being said, even as I type this, 2 just flew by my face, taunting me because they have avoiding going into the light. That will happen. You won't get them all this way, but you will put a healthy dent into their population. I just clapped one of those 2 into oblivion, and gently tapped his arse to the sticky tape...also satisfying. I feel like a complete jerk for reveling in the joy of smiting these things, but I am not sorry. It is attractive as far as bug catchers go, made of lightweight place and easy to wipe off the outside cover to keep it clean looking. The sticky refills slide in and out of the device easily and without tools. Peel the paper off the sticky trap (not hard to figure it out, they make is OBVIOUS), and insert into said lamp. When both traps are inserted, POOF! The light comes on and you become the bug staring into the light while you watch and wait for that satisfying first capture. The unit does not get hot, so burning of fingers. No chemicals I believe either. Naturally I stuck my finger on the sticky tape, because who the heck doesn't touch it??? If you feel like yours isn't working, then be smarter than the bug and move it to where the bugs ARE. Turn off the light in that room/area so that just the lamp is ON. The bugs then fly towards the light and you catch them FASTER. It will not catch ALL the bugs, it is a stationary object that does not actively seek out your problem. Your problem must be tempted to come to it. I gave myself this same lecture as I was setting them up, so you're welcome!

Bug trap
It works great and I leave it on all day and all night, you don’t have to worry about it getting hot ,just leave it on with the sticky strips in side and change it when it gets full of bugs .It’s simple to use and I love it , I have two.I give it five stars!!!!!

Works great
I purchased the counter top unit. I set it by the window and bugs from outside hit the screen trying to get to the light. It does catch up to 98 percent of the flies but I noticed about 2 percent who have no interest until late at night when I turn off the rest of the lights. The only con is there is no on/off switch. When I 1st opened the package and plugged it in the lights are so strong that it caused my cataracts to see stars for a minute, so plug it in not looking at the unit. If the flies touch any part of the unit like the tip top of the cartridge they are caught.

WORKS SO WELL
If you struggle with fruit fries or little moths this is for you!! It even has caught baby roaches & spiders !! I’m so so impressed with the sickness and brightness of this catcher! Since I got it a couple months ago I haven’t seen any fruit flys at all!

Works better with honey
With about 4 houseflies in a small room it attracted 1 fly the first 2 days. I got impatient and added a tiny bit of honey because you can catch more flies with honey….It caught many more flies the following week. We got new windows and screens come next month:)Why did you pick this product vs others?:I liked the concept

works great and does the job
These work exceptionally well on small insects . indoors and outdoors on our covered lania. the only negative is the replacement sticky pads are expensive however the after market brands work as well and fit perfectly so you can save money that way
