Can’t Live Without
I have been using this calendar for probably 20 years. It was super important when my children were little and still living in the house. The way it is structured kept my family and our busy lives under control. If it wasn’t on the calendar, it wasn’t happening! Lol!! Now that my kids are out of the house, I can’t imagine using any other calendar. My husband agrees. It is just an excellent format and the little stickers and cartoon drawings add to everything making it super cute and functional at the same time. This is a win for sure!

Best calendar
Best calendar on the market! Year 25 of buying it. The column for each family member makes it easy to see what everyone is doing at just a glance. I adore Sandra Boynton's illustrations. The stickers are a fun added bonus.

Very helpful!
This is a change-over from Boynton’s classic Mom’s Calendar. Different title and layout but still eminently useful and fun!

Love this calendar
I love this calendar. I have been getting these calendars for about 5 years now. I love I very how i have a space for all five of us to write schedules or anything down. I won't be getting another calendar as long as my children are at home.

Unfortunate Changes this Year
While I’m all for reducing plastic and waste, the quality of this calendar has gone downhill. This year, I think because there was no plastic wrap to secure the pages, the stickers were stapled as calendar pages into the calendar. I ended up tearing a few stickers inadvertently while trying to remove the sticker pages. I usually place them in the pocket the calendar has always provided as storage for “coupons, concert tickets, receipts, appointment cards, flat things, stray $100 bills” and was very disappointed to find that it wasn’t gusseted to expand like it has every previous year (I’ve purchased this calendar every year since 2007 as testament to how much I love it). This year it truly is FLAT and the sticker pages that come with the calendar don’t fit well (so there’s not hope of fitting the extra sticker pages I’ve accumulated over the years either). This loss is really disappointing and I’ll have to come up with a new way of storing those stickers to keep handy for use. Another big disappointment was seeing only FIVE columns versus SIX as there has been for the last two years. I’ve gotten used to having six and now need to revert back to five. The pages themselves lack the sheen and vibrant color they used to have as well. All in all it’s still a great calendar for organizing and viewing events (and I love Sandra Boynton and all her books too!), but I am disappointed with several changes that have been made over the years. I especially miss the old sticker sets, but the loss of the gusseted pocket this year is the saddest loss to date. :(

Multiple changes, most of them bad
First, the good stuff. Sandra Boynton characters always make me smile so the idea of this calendar is wonderful. Last year was the first time I bought this calendar and we have enjoyed it all year. The stickers are cute and fun, and my girls love helping pick where to use them. I liked the plastic free packaging this year. It was simple to open and even though calendars are only bought once a year, every little bit of plastic not used helps!Unfortunately, as other reviews have pointed out, there were several small but incredibly frustrating changes to this calendar from the previous one. One whole column was taken away. We only have five people in our family but used the sixth column for notes on things like whole family activities and pet appointments. I can see how this is way worse for those families with six people, as there is not a good way to “share a column” when you have different activities going on for different people. This is the biggest and most frustrating change. But other details have also changed for the worse. The columns last year were color coded so it was easier to see at a glance who’s column was who’s. The pocket at the bottom of the calendar is smaller and doesn’t have an accordion fold, making it much less usable (see photo for comparison). The sticker sheets don’t even fit in it without cutting a strip off the sides of them. Also, the hole for hanging the calendar cuts into a box in one person’s column on the last day of every month, making that space slightly smaller (see photo). The whole calendar just feels flimsier as well. Overall it seems the design has been changed to save the manufacturer money without considering the usability for the customer. I had raved about the previous version but unfortunately I cannot enthusiastically recommend this one. We will still use it because it is still cute but I really hope the publisher fixes these problems for next year. I will be checking this summer and switch to the new one in August if they do, otherwise we may end up looking for an alternative.
