Campfire in a Cup - Pure Comfort
I’ll pay for coffee. And have. Honestly, there is some correlation between cost and quality, but not in every case. Here is one of those exceptions.Coffee has been both passion and addiction for 50 years, Sumatran and Yirgacheffe being my choices. This is the Sumatran I buy for a simple reason - great freaking coffee whose flavors and characteristics you can explore or just say “ahhhh” to. Deep caramel/chocolate notes; balanced acidity - rounded as it should be with enough bite to let you know it’s still coffee. Deep, medium-heavy overall profile, but runs the palette like silk with a lingering “Sumatran” liquid smoke haze.Taste is a matter of taste. I can’t speak for the 1/2 star ratings for that reason. But to me, this Sumatran is as approachable as it is complex and would be satisfying to the store brand-Colombian buyer as much as it would be to the single-origin Blue Mountain buyer.Enjoy. And spend less. Real value.

Good enough
I drink a lot of "single-origin" coffees, but I would not consider myself an aficionado on all the intricate notes. I just drink it as my morning fix and this does the job. I tried Copper Moon only because Grocery Outlet connected with them a couple of years ago (like all other GO special brand finds, it's gone :( )Anyway, this tastes like every other dark roasted Sumatra I've ever had, and the roast is a touch darker than Full City, but not Italian/French style. Definitely worth a try if you loathe spending over $15/lb, and anyone giving this lower than 3 stars is either a serious snob or just trying to monkey-wrench the offering.

goût exquis
Listen. I know quality coffee and you usually have to pay high for it. Now this code is unique. Immediately, I noticed the dark rich look with beans that are much firmer. ( use a good coffee grinder). It is not staleness. These are beautiful beans. I get up at 5:30 and a few cups of this and scones make the morning. Greatness should be appreciated.

Flavorful, mellow
Mellow and flavorful without being burned. How "Dark Roasted" the beans are is in the eyes of the roasters. In my 60 years of coffee drinking, no two brands off the dame degree of "dark roast". In the case of Copper Moon Sumatra, the roast is not burned but can be brewed stronger if desired. Pro tip: a tiny dollop (~1/8 tsp) of Half and Half has a delightful effect on the cup. This from a black coffee guy.Less than a tablespoon full of broken beans in my bag. Will be a frequent purchase.

Fine coffee, nothing spectacular but better than folgers.
Decent coffee at a low price. Flavor wasn't really for me - oz for oz I like stronger coffee than this. Flavor doesn't really pop no matter the grind or method I was using.

Our #1 coffee
Oh my coffee loving self. This is dynamite coffee. We live Sumatra coffee and we okay with the Amazon fresh brand. But, like all our specialty coffee beans we tend to buy the "good" beans when we go to Atlanta. No more. This coffee is bold without being acidic. It's smooth and robust. It's amazing. We love our coffee and this is at the top of our list. The only thing is, I really wish they had a better way to secure it closed. But even then I just whipped out a rubber band and secured it. Do yourself a favor, but this coffee if a experience is what you want.

Surprise surprise
Was expecting more wildness. This is my first experience with dark roast. Expected some bitterness and it was not there. It is actually a good down to earth coffee.
