Happy Aussie!
I moved to the USA just over a year ago and SOOOO glad I found this! This is a pantry staple for everyone I know in Australia. Absolutely blew my mind that I couldn't find it in the supermarket here.It hurt my soul a little to pay so much for something that would have cost about $4 (AU) back home! But worth the markup to have it here. For those who haven't had this before - it's nothing like soy sauce. It's thick and sweet and oh so good! It works on rice, dip your spring rolls (or egg rolls), use it as a stir-fry sauce, marinade... seriously anything, it's so good. There are a few reviews about broken bottles, but it must really be handled without care because the bottle is a fairly sturdy plastic. If you're on the fence, roll the dice. It'll be worth it.Be warned though, if you buy it once, you may feel the need to keep buying it :D

Absolutely Delicious – My Secret Weapon in the Kitchen
Where has this sauce been all my life?! ABC Sweet Soy Sauce is hands-down one of the most incredible-tasting sauces I've ever used. It's rich, thick, and packed with flavor—perfectly balanced between sweet, savory, and umami. The moment I tasted it, I knew I’d found a new pantry staple.I’ve used it as a marinade, dipping sauce, stir-fry base, and even drizzled over rice and eggs. Every time, it adds that deep, caramelized flavor that makes people go, “What is that??” and then keep eating in happy silence. The texture is silky and thick, almost syrupy—in the best way—and a little goes a long way. It's especially amazing with grilled meats, tofu, and noodles. One taste, and you’ll want to start adding it to everything.Seriously, if you love bold, mouthwatering flavor and want to level up your cooking, this is the sauce. Don’t walk—run!

What a great discovery!
This Sweet Soy was first gifted to me by a family member. I have re-ordered a few times. This is a must-have condiment for all your stir-fry rice dishes. So addictive!

My secret stir-fry weapon
I have had Pad Se Eew from a local Asian restaurant and loved it. The egg, noodles and broccoli mixed with a sweet taste I couldn't quite place -- delicious! I researched it and discovered that sweet dark soy sauce was the key. I ordered this brand based on the positive reviews. I haven't found it or any other brand in my local grocery store. As another review noted, there is a slightly chemical aftertaste if you eat it straight out of the bottle. However, I find that it cooks out and isn't present in the finished dish. So far I haven't attempted pad see ew yet, but I have made a couple of stir fries using this. I also made a quick sauce/glaze for a meat substitute that turned out great. If you mix this with liquid aminos (or plain soy sauce) -- it balances out the sweet flavor and tastes absolutely delicious -- nothing really needs to be added. For the stir fry sauce, I mixed the kecap manis with liquid aminos, chili powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flake, honey, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, a little peanut butter and olive oil. It's all to taste, so I have no idea what measurements I use. If it tastes good in the bowl, it will taste good on the food! I stir fry the veggies and then add the sauce, scrambled eggs, and brown rice noodles. I let everything cook and marry for a few minutes, then serve with a topping of toasted sesame seeds. I'm from the rural southern U.S., so I'm sure that this isn't authentic at all, but it tastes really good! For the meat or meat substitute glaze, I mixed the kecap manis with sriracha and liquid aminos. Again, all to taste. That's it. It was spicy, sweet and caramelized well under the broiler. Yum! Tasted almost like an asian bbq sauce. The bottle is huge!! So if the price seems steep to you, that's why. I only use about two tablespoons per stir-fry, so it should last me a while.I am only taking off a star for the chemical aftertaste. It makes me wonder about how natural or good for you it is.

Nice change to replace regular soy sauce
This is a sweeter sauce than you would expect. It is thicker; like a barbecue sauce. Use it on any meats, stir fry or casseroles. You can thin it a bit with a little olive oil and baste your choices on the grill. Price is very affordable.
