Dragon Ball (VIZBIG Edition), Vol. 1 (1)

My 8 year old loves reading Dragon Ball Z books. I decided to buy used this time and was very happy with the fast shipping and the quality of the book. Looks brand new.

hi im loving the first volume and im on the second book already. (took me a whole day to read the first book cause i was taking my time) anyhoo i love the part where kame sennin was like puff puff into this girls well you know what i mean dont you? Anyhoo i wont spoil it. So its so good that im still waiting for the other four volumes to come to my house and ill have the whole set :D now im still new to dragon ball and dragon ball z too but ive been in it for about one year from today and if your wondering well why dont you know everything? Well i was in the middle of dbz kai episodes and i NEVER read the original dragon ball so im still new to db and dbz too. So im still getting into it still. So yea sorry about my long review T.T (hate it when i tell long stories XD ) i also recommend to teens or older people cause it does have nudity in it as well. As a long time comic book reader but relatively new Manga reader I'm quite surprised by what I expected from Dragon Ball and what I got. I was expecting yelling, screaming and violence but got a humorous story that really surprised me. I gave the Vizbig a shot because I've heard so much about Dragon Ball over the years (since the 80s) but I always ignored it. I'm glad I finally gave it a chance. I'll be getting all the DB Vizbigs and am looking forward to the yelling, screaming and violence that's sure to come in Dragon Ball Z.

Wow, it was much better than I expected!Me and my girlfriend are fans of Dragonball Z, and were looking for the Dragonball Manga collection to collect. After some research (so you don't have to do it!) we found this one to be the best, and it delivered! Much bigger than I expected and the pages are thick enough and the art is high quality as well. It has a bendable cover but sturdy for sure, not flimsy.There's in total FIVE parts to this series, each containing 3 issues. Which is PERFECT in my opinion - doesn't take as much space. If you're looking to collect the mangas than this one is 100% the right start with - other issues tend to be smaller and more flimsy. Price (11-15 dollars) is excellent as well and worth it.

Was a little scared to buy the "VIZBIG" version but happy I did! Bigger pages so it's easier to see everything. Enjoying it so much I bought all 5 for the full series! The inner child in me is screaming with joy reliving my favorite series as a kid in manga form! I regret not buying the mangas sooner!

Okay so this edition of the Dragon Ball manga has a few ups and downs.StoryThis is the classical Dragon Ball story, from Goku meeting Bulma up to Kuririn defeating Bacterian in the 21st Tenka'ichi Budokai. You are getting a lot in terms of story, leading to about a 2 hour read. The characters are charming and flawed, leading to many comical situations. Be warned though that many of the jokes are crude and perverted in nature, so of you're not in to that, then this may not be for you.ArtThe art in this part of the story is absolutely stunning. Especially when compared to later parts of the manga, it is very nice to look at. There are also a nice selection of full color and red tinted pages so that certain scenes look their best.Physical QualityThe page quality is quite nice, there is no real risk of you accidentally tearing a page in this book. A little bit of damage on the corner of the cover but nothing so serious as to ruin the experience of reading.CensorshipThis is the big sticking point for me. There are various parts of the story that censored (such as Bulma in the shower being covered in soap and Bulma giving the index finger instead of the middle finger). When considering some of the inappropriate situations in the manga, I don't think that covering up a few images really does the trick. The good news is that the censorship doesn't effect the story, so the plot is still understandable, but if your looking for an uncut version, this isn't the version for you.Overall, this is a pretty good copy of the manga, though the censorship is annoying.

The original series is so fun! The art amazing! I got hooked in quick. Im reviewingBook 1 only because you have to get them all if you love the first one, but beware,Book 5 is extremly rare and out of print. Expect to pay at least 50 dollars for it!

The graphics in the series are amazing.
