Easy Break Down
I learned the fretboard in about 30 mins maybe longer because I walked away a few times to do other things, but the book breaks the fretboard down in an easy way for you to understand. Granted, I have been taking music lessons nearly all my life including guitar lessons, I just was pulled away from guitar for another instrument when I was young so I never learned the full fretboard and didn't have access to a guitar until many years after. If you've taken lessons before and just want to know where everything is, this is the book for you. I can now play my favorite songs knowing exactly where the notes are.

Thank you for helping my Fretboard Breakthrough!
One year into my guitar journey, I knew it was time to conquer the fretboard. I'd dabbled in music theory, but was still struggling to connect the dots. Guitar Head's book changed everything. I was hesitant, but after just one day of focused practice, something just clicked. I finally felt like I was understanding the fretboard on a deeper level. This isn't a magic bullet, it requires dedication, but if you're ready to work, this book is a game-changer. Don't let the negative reviews deter you – they likely come from those who didn't put in the effort. Thank you, Guitar Head, for making this crucial step achievable!

Just buy this book!
Every Guitarist should have this book, or at least do what it says. It took something that seemed hard and made it sooo easy. After only 3 hours of reading, and with no guitar nearby either, I can write confidently and accurately an entire guitar fretboard note for note. In fact, I didn't even finish the entire book before I knew the fretboard! It just clicked! Excellently and clearly explained!

Too Early For Me
I an not far enough along for this I guess. Not recommended for beginners; we'll see if it makes more sense in the future lol. A lot of humor though; good writer.

It works! Even for an Old Beginner
Watching the Ravens/Browns game - snoozer, I thought now would be a good time to START reading through "Fretboard".1st they explain the inlays/strings.Then they show you all the notes for 24 frets - daunting...but they explain 13-24 frets are a repeat of 1-12 frets - not as daunting. Then they show you the two E strings are the same tones on frets...then they give you a memory tool for the A string tones per frets. They share the "L" for using E & A strings to find notes on the D & G strings. And then a rotated "L" to use the A string to help find notes on the B string - Done 🤯🤯.It helps that the Acoustic I'm using has an electric tuner so I could check the exercise/notes as I went.I started reading this book at the beginning of the games 2nd Quarter, I'll keep practicing but by mid-way through the 3rd quarter (1hr +), I know how to find each tone/semitone on each string. After months of Youtube tutorials, and stumbling through pickin out tunes, I feel like I'm gaining a solid fret understanding that will help me begin to read music and find the tones on the fret/strings.Thanks So Much 👍
