Rothenberger 40500 "LP 5" Hard Solder Paste, Orange, 160 g

Used before very good especially on stainless steel

Brilliant stuff. I tried to silver solder a stainless steel tool using normal soldering flux. I couldn't for the life of me get the solder to stick, until reading online I was using the wrong flux. I read a review online of this stuff and thought I'd give it a go.It was like night and day! First attempt and it went pretty well, considering I'm an amateur.Very happy and I would definitely buy again although I think this pot will last me a very long time.

As described untried as of yet got to use with silver solder will update as soon as I do but prompt delivery and it is from Rothenberger so not worried about trying well just tried it and it works OK but personally I still prefer powder flux but does the job and a good size and price that is better than powder we will see how well it keeps

Liked that the flux made brazing effortless.

this flux tends to form a crust inside the lid . it also is very thick and you need to shake the tub before you open it to mix it each time you use it .the crystals it forms are like damp salt which when you try to screw the lid back on fall all over the floor . i dont know if you can add water to it to stop this but i discarded it after that and bought another brand that did not has this issue .
